End Of The Year Thoughts

WOW! The end of another year. I have fortunately been able to watch many years go by and been able to learn something new each year. I have also seen many things change through the years, especially with technology. Some things have changed for the better and some things are definitely much worse than before.

The world of camshafts has honestly not changed very much through the years. Instead, people are finally starting to understand and use the technology that has existed since the beginning. Hopefully this website has contributed a small part to that understanding. Valve train components are getting better which allows camshaft lobe designs to move the valves faster and farther to make more power with more reliability. The valve train will generally need to change first before the lobe profile can change.

Many people are now using computers to measure and analyze their camshafts before installing them. Some are learning more about camshafts and lobe designs instead of relying on the manufacturers and their marketing gimmicks. Actual knowledge is always a definite advantage with anything. So keep learning.
